Unique piano, painted by artist Laurie Tsou, offered to CHAMPS in Van Nuys – Daily News

Music students at CHAMPS Charter High School of the Arts in Van Nuys welcomed a special new piano, offered to the school through a partnership between Sing for Hope and the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts, during a program musical on the Monday November 8 campus.

Painted by artist Laurie Tsou, the piano dubbed “Nonlinear Happiness” was one of 16 Sing for Hope upright pianos on display in Beverly Hills this summer for the Los Angeles community to play and enjoy, then donate to various schools and organizations around Los Angeles.

Vocalist TJ Wilkins and pianist Carnell Harrell performed for students and faculty with the school choir closing the event with songs.

The CHAMPS Charter High School event hopes to inspire students to use their artistic talents to enrich the lives of those around them.
