Milwaukee-based architecture firm Rinka has opened an office in Florida

Milwaukee-based architecture and design firm Rinka has opened an office in Florida, its first office outside of Milwaukee.

The Fort Lauderdale office will better serve Rinka’s Florida-based clients, according to a statement released Tuesday by the company.

Elliot Young, senior vice president and shareholder of Rinka, will lead the office.

“We are thrilled that our work has been so well received inside and outside the Midwest,” said partner Matt Rinka.

“We continue to grow our business with different and visionary customers, and this step is part of our business evolving into a more national business,” Rinka said in a statement.

Rinka has been working on projects in Florida for eight years, including the recently completed F3 Marina Fort Lauderdale, a dry cell boat docking facility.

Rinka was established in 2006 and has around 50 design professionals.

His projects in Milwaukee include the Milwaukee Bucks Deer District, the Couture apartment tower and the River 1 mixed-use development.
