Tom Wiscombe Architecture (TWA) is an internationally recognized architectural firm known for its powerful massing, alluring graphic qualities and tectonic inventiveness. TWA is currently working on a number of exciting projects ranging from iconic upscale residences in the LA area to international projects that are redefining sustainable housing and urban lifestyles on the planet. Located in the American Cement Building on the outskirts of downtown Los Angeles, our small office is a unique indoor-outdoor workplace with an engaging creative and intellectual environment. We are looking for an intermediate architect/designer with 1-3 years of office experience who is self-motivated, thoughtful and passionate about architecture, and interested in contributing to the work of TWA. We place a high value on creativity, commitment to professional growth and the ability to work well with others.

Professional responsibilities

  • Rhino-based design work for small and large projects – Rhino expertise is required

  • Prepare 3D models and drawing sets in REVIT– Some REVIT experience in an office environment is required

  • Attention to detail on issues of aesthetics, design and documentation

  • Modeling including 3D printing

  • Coordinate with consultants, including reviewing and incorporating their work into designs

  • Project management, including helping to set and meet internal deadlines and maintaining project records

  • Help with the administrative tasks of the construction.

  • Ability to develop solid images, diagrams and layouts in the Adobe suite

  • Knowledge of Keyshot, Twinmotion or other rendering software an asset

  • Previous work with a company focused on design and innovation an asset

  • Mentor of junior designers
